A work wear and "works over wear" project using second hand and repurposed fabrics, all sold as limited runs or one off editions. Always unisex. All items are handmade with care from our home in the Cévennes, in the south of France.
This project was born from a desire to work more with our hands and be closer to the process of creation. After myself working for companies that manufactured products abroad, I was confronted with the lack of transparency in the production of our clothing and the loss of the real value of these material goods.
This was combined with a love for collecting fabrics, and a particular fondness for repaired items. I always appreciated that their lifespan has been extended thanks to the value we placed on simple every day objects. Notably tea towels handed down from a great grandmother, carefully repaired and with embroidered initials in the corners.
We manage this alongside a small herd of goats and a fromagerie where we create fresh cheese to sell locally. All the pieces I create, we use on a daily basis. Everything is tested in real life and if we wouldn't use it or wear it, I wouldn't make it. This project is an occasion to share a little piece of a lifestyle we are working to build here. I want the clothes I create to be used as they are meant to be: to get dirty and ‘work’ as hard as we do.

Then when they start to show signs of wear, I hope they will be loved and repaired just as we would have done with the tea towel.
