Baluchon sac du marché - coton carreaux espagnol

Made from vintage Spanish checked cotton, self lined. Sourced from a closed down textile factory outside of Barcelona. I met the grand niece of the owner who had inherited her great uncles house with the old stock still tucked away in the attic.

The baluchon bag is inspired by the traditional way of carrying goods in a square of fabric, often tied in the four corners. The market version is a bigger tote style bag with an interior pocket, surprisingly spacious with knotted handle that can be carried, worn on the shoulder, or across body.
