Found. Wool blanket large

A larger antique heavy woven wool blanket with hand hemmed edges and overlocked central join. Possibly mixed with hemp due to its weight and hand feel. Originating from Salamanca in Spain these pieces are believed to have belonged to a cow herder. Used as a surface to sleep or to cover the body in bad weather conditions. Please note, this particular blanket does not have the initials embroidered. Very good condition with one small faded patch on the underside.

Each blanket is handmade and unique. These pieces are not new and therefore will have signs of a previous life. Any particular markings will be noted in the description.
